Let the Registration Begin!
The FVCS office has been busy preparing the current session and ensuring Sports Swap is set to go. Last week, 30 classes were online and open for registration. We’re off to a great start as the fall colors brighten the final September days. Now it’s your turn to decide which classes to take.
From swimming to science to crafts, there are options to pursue independent growth or competitive face-offs. The bases are covered for all ages. Adults, start your mornings with fitness: Circuit Training on Tues. and Thur. returns to the school gym from 6-7 a.m. Get to work feeling like you’ve accomplished something that matters and take on the day.
As the nights quickly become inky, come inside to lights, play, and perhaps some rivalry as a great escape. Leave with a great workout! Each weekday evening has something in the gym. Pickleball, pick up soccer and basketball games are from 7-9 p.m. Gym Games for middle school and high school are back on Fri. nights. Swimming with Suzy, Lego League, Indoor Soccer, Romp-n-Snore, and Make a Plate is the short list. Stay involved and enjoy your fall with Four Valleys.
Ski & Sports Swap
Head over to Alyeska’s Daylodge Sat. Sept. 29 and join the lively crowd at the base of the mountain. Girdwood, and perhaps your year, would not be the same without this annual community event. Volunteering is an ideal way to be involved with the bustling winter enthusiasts selling and swapping skis, boards, apparel, (and perhaps a few stories).
Get a jump-start on the months ahead and find something within reach for your winter play. Powder Hound will also represent at the Swap with expertise and gear for sale. By now, control sheets and tags are filled out and ready. Bring gently used sporting equipment to sell from 9-11 a.m. Sales begin at noon and close at 4 p.m. Pickup is 4-5 p.m. See you there!
