Chip in, game on. Many hands make light work. Thank you friends and neighbors, who prepared the Girdwood soccer field on May 31 for summer soccer. These combined efforts make general recreation and FVCS soccer games possible for a full season of team building and experience, community gathering, practices, memories, and goals.

Let’s go Paddling
The whitewater safety paddling series with instructor Brian McGorry features Intro to Intermediate Sea Kayaking, Intro to SUP, Intermediate SUP, and River SUP with three dates per class beginning as early as this weekend. Classes are offered in June, July, and Aug., so find a friend and share an experience together. Skills achieved may warrant the desire for another paddling day, followed by another. With our extended Alaska days, fitting more play into each day is possible. Make the most of your summer. Secure space now to get on the water.

Basic Hunter Education begins this week with Meghan Nedwick and Guy Wade leading the two-day course. Training will cover firearms safety, wildlife conservation and respect for our natural resources, landowners, and other hunters. Graduates receive a lifetime certification recognized by all states, Canadian provinces, and Mexico.

Summer Romp N Snore
Even though it’s summer and there’s soccer, summer playground, and warmer weather, FVCS makes room for the littlest ones and their parents. Each Thur. from 10-11 a.m., adults can attend and supervise their toddlers for indoor play. An inaugural session of summer Romp N Snore is held in the community room June 21-July 12. Organized activity is a great opportunity to meet your community, especially during a different season. Many families have unique schedules and kids always utilize space to play safely and burn energy. Keep your kids active and engaged. Drop-ins welcome.

Summer playground for preschool and primary grades, as well as FVCS Adventure Camps are underway and may have room for you. Register today to nurture your June and July with growth and fun at fourvalleys.org.
