Hope Essay Contest
Hope Chamber of Commerce and Glacier City Gazette is sponsoring an essay contest open to Hope students and kids who love the town. There will be first and second place winners in the categories of elementary and junior high/high school students. The awards are: 1st place – $100, publication in Glacier City Gazette and a ribbon of achievement; 2nd place – $25 and a ribbon of achievement.
The essay should be no more than 500 words. The choice of topics are: “My Favorite Memory in Hope, AK,” “What I would tell someone to experience when visiting Hope, AK,” or “Why I love Hope, AK.”
The submission deadline is Aug. 31, 2018. Please send essays to rental@alaskanbyways.com.
