The pages of the Glacier Valley Gazetta are a fascinating look into Girdwood 50 years ago.

The August-September 1967 issue’s lead article was about then Girdwood City Council Councilman Dan Zantak announcing his candidacy for the Greater Anchorage Area Borough Assembly. The other article on the front page was about trail improvements and a new slope grooming machine at Mt. Alyeska.
