Forest Fair is almost here, and this year locals and visitors have the chance to win a unique piece of Chair 1! FVCS and Girdwood Health Clinic, Inc. have teamed up with two incredibly talented artists for an opportune project. Renowned artists Dawn Gerety and Meg Smith of Girdwood are embellishing two original Chair 1 chairs with their creative brushstrokes, colors and inspiration.

These functional pieces are nearly complete and will be raffled off at the close of Forest Fair. Raffle tickets for both chairs will be available during the Girdwood Forest Fair. Look for our booth and witness the brand-new creations yourself. Proceeds will benefit FVCS and the Girdwood Health Clinic, Inc., two of the many Girdwood grown non-profit organizations that are vital to our community. Thank you Alyeska Resort for donating the chairs in support of our organizations. See you at Forest Fair!

FVCS Summer Adventure Camps are in full swing and our Facebook page has pictures loaded with captured moments of recent weeks’ fun: soap making, bike rides and repairs, summer soccer action, arts and crafts, and distinctive photography, all with candid youth. Fill your next week with something fun and FVCS.
