Robert Foran III Bio

Robert Foran III

Associate Editor

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, I am happy to now call Alaska home. In 2011, I moved to Alaska with my wife simply to experience the adventure that Alaska is and enjoy all is has to offer. Together we have started a family here with the birth of our son in 2017, where we enjoy camping, hiking, exploring the outdoors and seeing live shows within the music and arts scene.

As a graduate of UAA with a BA in Journalism & Communication, I have been freelance writing where I have been featured in various publications from the Mat-Su Valley, Anchorage and Girdwood areas. My work can be followed through ‘Foran Brand Journalism.’

In addition to writing and editing, I also volunteer at 90.3 KNBA radio, where I co-hosts the ‘Alaska Music Spotlight’ program with Loren Dixon, playing local music and inviting Alaskan artists to perform or talk live in-studio about their latest projects.

Alaska has been a rewarding place to live and journalism has opened a lot of doors for me. I’ve met so many creative and talented people in this great state and my goal is to simply tell their incredible stories through my own brand of compelling and ethical journalism.
